The Thrift Market, or Thrift Fairs, organised regularly in Valletta and elsewhere by The Malta Trust Foundation are community-focused events that combine social impact with environmental responsibility.
These fairs offer a curated selection of pre-loved garments, household items, and other donated goods, promoting reuse and recycling as a practical way to reduce waste, extend product life cycles, and encourage more sustainable consumer habits.
A Partnership for Impact
The initiative stems from a collaboration between The Malta Trust Foundation and Inditex, a leading global fashion group committed to advancing circularity and sustainability in the textile industry.
Through this partnership, surplus garments are repurposed and given a second life, turning unused resources into meaningful social and environmental impact.
