Concept

The SPARK Project, operational since 2018, is a purpose-built skatepark developed by TMTF to promote youth participation in urban sports and provide a dynamic space for recreation, creativity, and community engagement.

SPARK serves as an inclusive platform where young people enhance physical skills, build confidence, and connect socially through structured activities, open sessions, and community events.

By partnering with Agenzija Żgħażagħ, which is responsible for detached youth work, SPARK functions as a catalyst for youth support, enabling outreach to young people who may otherwise have limited access to positive recreational and developmental opportunities.

Alignment with Rights

The SPARK Project is grounded in TMTF’s commitment to youth rights, including:

Right to Play & Recreation

Quality, safe space for active leisure.

Right to Participation

Youth-led engagement, decision-making opportunities.

Right to Inclusion & Non-Discrimination

Accessible to all youth regardless of background.

Right to Development

Supports holistic personal, social, and physical growth.
