Call and Job Description for the role of Project Manager – Infrastructural expansion of the Centre for Music and the Arts at Ta’ Saura Empowerment Hub.
The Malta Trust Foundation is looking for a highly experienced Project Manager, who has proven experience in delivering high-profile projects with a strong focus on accessibility, inclusion, and heritage restoration, to oversee the infrastructural expansion of the Centre for Music and the Arts at Ta’ Saura Empowerment Hub.
The Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of projects that serve vulnerable communities, particularly Children and Young People with disabilities. Expertise should ensure that all projects meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and social responsibility.
The Projects Manager will report directly to the Chairperson of the Foundation and will be responsible for liaising with the project’s technical team, suppliers, and all other relevant stakeholders.
Contract type: Definite for 3 years, with the possibility of extension until project completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Execution: Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets while ensuring seamless coordination among stakeholders.
- Disability & Accessibility Compliance: Lead projects that require inclusive design and accessibility considerations, particularly for Children and Young People with disabilities
- Social Impact Initiatives: Manage projects aimed at supporting vulnerable children, youth, and adults, such as the Serenity Garden, ensuring environments that promote well-being and community engagement.
- Restoration & Heritage Conservation: Oversee restoration projects that preserve historical structures while integrating modern functionality and accessibility.
- Stakeholder & Team Management: Engage with architects, engineers, contractors, and government entities to ensure alignment with project goals and compliance requirements.
- Risk Management & Problem-Solving: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
- Financial Oversight: Control project budgets, optimize resource allocation, and ensure cost-effective execution.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to national and international building codes, safety regulations, and heritage conservation guidelines.
- Health and safety: Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to, implementing best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
Key Requirements
- Qualifications: MBA with expertise in project management, strategic planning, and financial oversight or other comparable qualification
- Experience: Proven track record of managing high-profile projects, especially disability-focused initiatives, social impact programs, and heritage restoration. Experience using Auto CAD and other draughtsman or architecture software will be considered an asset.
- Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. Expertise in accessibility regulations, heritage restoration techniques, and community engagement.
- Personal Attributes: Passion for social responsibility, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering projects that positively impact communities. People Management Skills such as Staff Motivation, Decision Making, Interpersonal and Critical Thinking skills.
