The Malta Trust Foundation

Committed to Empowering Lives

Our Vision

The Malta Trust Foundation focuses on four main thematic areas of activity – Disability, Mental Health and Wellbeing, Formal and Non-Formal Education, and Youth Participation, with a particular commitment towards supporting children and young people. The Foundation seeks to promote prevention, inclusion, equal and equitable opportunities by supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged communities through educational, psychosocial, and empowering programmes and initiatives that help individuals reach their full potential.

Formal & Non Formal Education

Mental Health &
Wellbeing

Supporting emotional wellbeing and mental health for all.

DisAbility
Inclusion

Creating inclusive communities where everyone belongs.

Nurturing Youth and Children

Helping young people build confidence, skills and brighter futures.

Empowering Children and Young People Since 2015

The Malta Trust Foundation (TMTF) was established in 2015 by Her Excellency Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca during her term as President of Malta, with the aim of developing initiatives that support children, young people, and communities facing challenges, especially those coming from vulnerable, and disadvantaged backgrounds and being at risk of poverty and social exclusion.

Projects and Initiatives

All programmes and initiatives are developed as clearly defined projects that respond to emerging priorities within the social field. They are carefully researched, planned, and costed to ensure efficient, effective, and sustainable services that create long-term impact. The Foundation collaborates with academics, psychosocial professionals, the business community, and civil society organisations to address gaps within existing services and deliver meaningful support to children, young people, disadvantaged individuals, and communities.
