A collaboration between Luiss University, Fondazione Terzo Pilastro – Internazionale and The Malta Trust Foundation.

The call “Progetto Mediterraneo a.y. 2024-2025 “A collaboration between Luiss University, Fondazione Terzo Pilastro – Internazionale and The Malta Trust Foundation” issued online on Luiss website is modified in the second page of the present document. The change refers to: a) the deadline for the preapplication forms which is “April 5th 2024” instead of “March 1st 2024” as previously indicated; b) the deadline for the Luiss application form which is “20th April 2024” instead of “March 20, 2024” as previously indicated.

All the other parts of the previous call will not change and the remaining text is considered valid.

In 2017 Luiss University and Fondazione Terzo Pilastro – Internazionale launched Progetto Mediterraneo, a programme of scholarships for disadvantaged students and refugees from the Mediterranean region. Progetto Mediterraneo aims to help disadvantaged students coming from vulnerable communities from various Mediterranean countries, by giving them access to Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree courses provided entirely in English by Luiss University. Upon completion of the courses, students shall possess the knowledge needed to continue their studies and the specific skills to pursue managerial positions that could contribute to the economic and social development of the region and of their communities.

The Malta Trust Foundation, established a collaborative relationship with Fondazione Terzo Pilastro Internazionale in 2017. Enhance – Making Higher Education More Accessible is one of the educational projects led by The Malta Trust Foundation and this ongoing collaboration with Luiss University was made possible through Progetto Mediterraneo. Through this ongoing fruitful collaboration between The Malta Trust Foundation and Fondazione Mediterraneo, 2 (two) scholarships are being made available for the 2024-2025 academic year. This includes Master’s degree programmes in Data Science and Management; Management; Economia e Finanza – Majors of Applied Economics or Finance; Corporate Finance; Marketing, Policies and Governance in Europe; Strategic Management, Innovation &Sustainability; Global Management and Politics; International Relations which will be offered at Luiss University in Rome. Delivered in the English language, one of these programmes will be open to two Maltese disadvantaged students residing in Malta. The program envisages awarding fully-funded scholarships to the selected candidates, covering tuition fees, teaching materials, travel costs, pocket money and board and lodging in Rome to cover 2 academic years up until the first available graduation session (July 2026).
