The E-Cubed Project is an initiative by The Malta Trust Foundation aimed at empowering, encouraging, and supporting children and young people, who are visually impaired, on the autism spectrum, non-verbal, or experiencing complex communication needs through the provision of Assistive Technology (AT) and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices.

The project promotes inclusion, accessibility, participation, equal and equitable opportunities by enabling beneficiaries to communicate more effectively, access education, strengthen independence, and participate more actively within their family, school, and community environments.
Through this long-term collaborative approach, the Foundation supports the procurement and accessibility of AT and AAC devices on an ongoing basis to ensure sustainable and meaningful support for beneficiaries and their families.
Assistive Technology devices support individuals who are visually impaired by improving access to educational resources and the general curriculum.
These tools help students engage with books, handouts, diagrams, maps, and digital learning materials, while also supporting visual stimulation and development where appropriate.
AAC devices provide essential communication support for individuals who are non-verbal or who experience complex communication challenges, helping them express themselves, interact socially, and participate more confidently in everyday life.
The E-Cubed Project is led by The Malta Trust Foundation in collaboration with a number of professional entities and organisations, including the Department of Education, Foundation for Inclusive Technology Accessibility, Aġenzija Sapport, the Department of Speech and Language Pathologists, Association of Speech Language Pathologists Malta, Autism Parents Association Malta, National Literacy Agency, and NGO Advice.
