The Malta Trust Foundation Manager for HR and Procurement invites applications for the
Post of Dance Movement Therapist at the Centre for Music and the Arts for Children and
People with Disabilities (Villabianca).
This is a full-time appointment subject to a twelve (12) month probationary period.
Selected candidates must be of conduct which is appropriate to the post/position applied
for.
Selected candidates are to report any known actual, potential or apparent conflicts of

Duties
The job description for the Post of Dance Movement Therapist may be viewed at Annex A
of this Internal Call for Applications.
Eligibility
- Possess an M.A. in Dance Movement Therapy with a minimum of three (3) years’
experience in the field of Dance Movement Therapy (registered with a recognised
professional body) - Have a strong sense of commitment and motivation
- Have confidence to deliver individual and group work to children and people with
disabilities at The Malta Trust Foundation, and any other alternative settings which
can include schools and day centres, amongst others - Have experience in managing a full-time caseload across a wide range of ages
- Be a good team player with strong communication skills, who is willing to be part of
an initiative that has training as one of its pillars - Possess versatility in approach and modalities of work, including Adapted
Dance/Movement Learning (as deemed necessary) and innovative group movement
experiences to encourage positive socialisation - Have experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team
- Have the ability to build good working relationships with children, young people,
parents, guardians and carers - Possess a good awareness of professional and therapeutic boundaries
